The Valencian Tuba Quartet has been a ground-breaking ensemble for almost one year. Formed by four Young musicians and catapulted onto the scene by back-to-back concerts around the country, it is the first tuba quartet in Spain and the first quartet in history to record original music for a Tuba Quartet in Spain within their own project called Tuba Xperience.
All of the members of the quartet has been awarded in numerous International Competetitions around Spain. Moreover, they are proud of their Finalist Award at the International Competition of International Congress of Tuba and Euphonium “ITEC” in Linz (Austria) in 2012.
In addition to appearing on the major concert stages, the members of the Valencian Tuba Quartet are deeply committed to communicating with a wide range of audiences: from grade-school children to professionals in music. Every concert they play both classical and contemporary repertoire.
The Quartet plays new works made exclusively for Valencian Tuba Quartet by composers of many nationalities, in particular: the young composer, Santi Miguel (Buñol, Spain), and the well-known composer and Chair of the Composition Department at the Berklee College of Music, Gregory Fritze (Allentown, USA).
